This site provides readers with information about library technology, and is not designed to collect personal data. The following is some information about how we handle data on this site.

Analytics

We use an analytics platform called Umami to collect data about site usage. Umami provides privacy-focused analytics for websites that does not track personal data or use cookies. For more information, see the analytics page.

Hosting

The site is hosted using Netlify. As well as websites being able to collect data, website hosting companies can also do this, such as the IP addresses communicating with their servers. See the Netlify privacy policy for how they handle data.

Cookies

This site does not use any first-party cookies to track users. However, the site integrates with some third-party services, who can set their own cookies. The site retrieves data from Google Sheets in order to populate the tables on the Product Directory and ‘Who uses what’ web pages. The site also calls to the Website Carbon Calculator to display carbon footprint estimates.
