Procurement
Libraries take one of a variety of procurement routes for library systems. They may prepare and then publish their invitation to tender (ITT) on their own and/or other procurement portal. Increasing use is being make of framework agreements which shorten and simplify the procurement process, For example:
APUC Framework
Framework for (Lot 1) library management systems, and (Lot 2) reading list management systems and associated services for universities and colleges in Scotland. Also used outside Scotland. Framework Notice 1 May 2020 (expires 31 Aug 2024).
G-Gloud Framework
The UK government digital marketplace. This has gone through various iterations G-Cloud 13 runs to the end of 2024.
